A platform that helps students secure selective internships by providing access to successful applicant profiles, tailored guidance, and mentorship opportunities.
Needfinding & Initial Design
We began by conducting user research to identify key pain points in the internship application process, particularly for selective roles. Based on this, we designed Intearn on Figma, ensuring a user-centric approach with intuitive navigation and streamlined access to relevant information.
Platform Development
Currently, we are building the website using React and Firebase, focusing on scalability and ease of use. The platform will allow users to search for specific internships and access detailed profiles of successful applicants.
User Research & Market Differentiation
Alongside development, we are conducting further user interviews and market analysis to validate the concept. This helps us refine Intearn’s unique value proposition, particularly how it addresses gaps not covered by existing platforms like LinkedIn.
Mentorship & Roadmap Creation
We are integrating a mentorship feature where users can request sessions with successful interns, enabling them to create personalized roadmaps for securing their desired internships. This direct, clear communication ensures students get actionable guidance in a cluttered digital landscape.
Current UI Designs
Intearn offers key features, including a searchable database of successful applicant profiles, detailed insights into their resumes, relevant coursework, interview tips, and portfolio submissions. Additionally, users can request personalized mentorship sessions to create a step-by-step roadmap for landing their desired internships.
